Shipping Location

Bags with a Past is based in the European Union (EU). All orders are shipped from within the EU.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are the responsibility of the buyer, unless stated otherwise.

All orders are shipped using insured and trackable shipping methods to ensure safe delivery. International insured shipping costs typically reflect the value of the item and the destination country.

Shipping costs are non-refundable.


Customs, Import Duties & Taxes (Non-EU Orders)

For orders shipped outside the European Union, such as to the United States, customs duties, import taxes, and local handling fees may apply.

  • These charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost.
  • Import duties and taxes are determined by the destination country’s customs authorities.
  • These fees are always the responsibility of the buyer.
  • We do not receive, control, or benefit from these charges.

This information is clearly disclosed on our website and again during checkout prior to completing your purchase.

Please note: when ordering from an EU-based business, import duties are a standard and normal part of international trade, just as when ordering from outside the EU into Europe.


EU Orders

For orders shipped within the European Union, no import duties or customs fees apply. Applicable VAT is handled according to EU regulations.


Delivery & Refused Shipments

At the time of delivery, the carrier may request payment of import duties before releasing the package.

  • If a shipment is refused at delivery, the package will be returned to us.
  • In such cases, shipping costs and any associated return costs remain the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Once import duties are paid and the shipment is accepted, the order is considered successfully delivered.


Returns

Returns are accepted in accordance with our return policy.

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
  • Import duties, customs fees, and taxes are non-refundable, as these are charged by third parties.

If requested, we can arrange a prepaid return shipping label for your convenience. In that case, the return shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount once the item has been received and inspected.
