Products

Are the items authentic?

Yes, every item at Bags with a Past is 100% authentic. We take authenticity very seriously. Each piece is sourced from trusted suppliers and carefully inspected by our experienced team, who check every detail inside and out. With years of knowledge in designer craftsmanship, we can confidently spot any irregularities. This way, you can enjoy your pre-owned and vintage designer bags with complete peace of mind.

For extra reassurance, you can also purchase an Authentication Certificate with your bag.  An official document verified by a trusted third-party expert, confirming its authenticity and giving you complete confidence in your purchase.

How do you grade condition?

We use a simple scale to keep it clear:

  • 10/10: Unworn — like new
  • 9/10: Excellent — minimal signs of wear
  • 8/10: Very good — light, normal wear
  • 7/10: Good — visible wear, fully functional

Are the photos accurate?

Yes, we photograph the actual item. Colours can vary slightly due to lighting or screen settings; please check all photos and read the condition notes carefully.

How do I find the right size?

Dimensions (H × W × D) are listed on every product page. Tip: measure an existing bag you own and compare. If you need more measurements or a try-on photo, email us.

What comes with my bag?

“Inclusions” are listed on each product page (e.g., dust bag, box, cards). Only the items mentioned are included.


Shipping & Return

How fast do you process orders?

Orders placed Mon–Fri usually ship within 1–2 business days. Orders placed after cut-off or on weekends/holidays ship the next business day.

How long does delivery take?

Orders ship within 1–2 business days from the Netherlands. Within Europe delivery usually takes 2–6 business days; outside Europe it may take longer depending on customs. Tracking is always provided.

Which shipping carriers do you use?

We ship with reliable, trackable services such as DHL, UPS or PostNL. The best option is chosen based on your destination.

Shipping costs

Shipping costs are automatically calculated at checkout and shown before you complete your order. Every item is shipped securely and fully insured. Please note: customers outside the EU may be responsible for additional charges such as customs duties or local taxes.

Can I return my order?

At Bags with a Past we’re a small team dedicated to giving pre-owned and vintage designer bags a second life. Every order is prepared with care, and while we understand you may change your mind, we kindly ask you to shop thoughtfully. Returns take time and have an impact on our small business.

That said, if you’re not completely satisfied, you may return your order within 14 days of delivery, provided it is in the same condition as received and includes any accessories.

Please note: once an item has been worn or used, we can no longer accept it back. Shipping costs for returns are the buyer’s responsibility unless the return is due to an error on our part.


Payments & Warranty

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay securely by PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Mastercard, Visa and other widely used payment options. All transactions are encrypted for a seamless and secure checkout experience. 

Do I have to pay import duties and taxes?

Within the EU, no duties apply. For orders outside the EU; Yes, your local customs office will charge import duties and taxes once the parcel arrives in your destination country. These are not included in the product price and are your responsibility to pay.  We cannot control these fees, as customs policies and tax rates differ by country. For detailed information, we recommend contacting your local customs office.

Do you offer a warranty?

We do not provide a warranty on our items. As all pieces are pre-owned and often vintage, they may show signs of wear. These will always be described on the product page. Please review the photos and condition notes carefully before purchasing, and check your item once it arrives.

Once an item has been used or worn, we unfortunately cannot accept it back. For any concerns, feel free to contact us right after receiving your order at info@bagswithapast.com — we’re here to help.
